Job summary

A management team in Portsmouth is looking for a candidate with a background in welding/fabrication, ideally from a marine-related background. Responsibilities include pricing/quoting for projects, managing workshop and site works, and effective communication with high-profile clients. Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, multitasking abilities, and have a valid driving license. Proficiency in IT and engineering drawing interpretation is a must. Responsibilities

• Pricing, quoting, and tendering for various project sizes.
• Ability to read, understand, and break down engineering drawings.
• Managing workshop and site works, including overseeing jobs and liaising with suppliers.
• IT competence in Excel, Word, and basic data entry; CAD knowledge is advantageous.

Job description

An opportunity has become available to join our management team at ML UK LTD in Portsmouth.

Candidates must have a background in welding/fabrication, ideally in a marine related background but not essential.

Roles include:

• Pricing/quoting/tendering for a range of range of projects small to large.
• Ability to read. understand and break-down engineering drawings.
• All aspects of managing workshop and site works from overseeing jobs, purchase ordering, liaising with suppliers, subcontractors & site contacts, machine maintenance, H&S, inspection of work.
• IT competence (excel, word, data entry, outlook as a basic. Project manager and CAD advantageous)
