We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Stewards to join our matchday and events team at the County Cricket Ground. Stewards play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all spectators, staff, and players. This is a customer-facing position requiring professionalism, attentiveness, and a proactive approach to crowd management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spectator assistance: Provide directions, information, and support to visitors throughout the ground.
  • Safety and security monitoring: Maintain awareness of crowd behaviour, identify risks, and report incidents promptly.
  • Access control: Check tickets, manage entry points, and ensure restricted areas remain secure.
  • Emergency response: Act quickly and calmly in the event of fire, medical emergencies, or evacuations.
  • Customer service: Deliver a friendly and professional service, resolving queries and complaints effectively.
  • Compliance: Uphold stadium regulations, health and safety standards, and safeguarding policies.
Other Responsibilities
  • Be proactive in promoting inclusiveness across the club and reporting any discrimination that you witness.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk that visit the Club.
  • Promote a positive environment that is welcoming, friendly and supportive.
  • Foster a culture of togetherness and commit to contributing to a strong team ethic.

  • Right to work in the UK.

Benefits

Hours, benefits and salary: This is a casual role with no minimum guaranteed hours. You will be required to work during the cricket season from 1st April to 30th September and the hours of work will include evenings and weekends. The salary for this role meets National Minimum Wage.
