Job summary

A leading logistics company in Belfast is seeking a Warehouse Operative to manage stock processes accurately and safely. Responsibilities include order checking, stock management, and reporting discrepancies. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of warehouse experience and excellent numerical skills. Familiarity with SAP is a plus. This role is full-time with possible weekend or after-hours work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years Warehouse experience in goods in, put-away, pick, pack, dispatch & stock control.
  • Experience with warehouse computer systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate order checking, picking, packing and dispatch of goods.
  • Checking, sorting and entering products onto the system.
  • Reporting discrepancies to line manager.

Job description
Overview

The principal duties and responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative are to ensure all stock and process related activity is undertaken in accordance with our practices, procedures and quality system, without error and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Accurate Order checking, picking, packing and dispatch of goods as per procedure and instructions
  • Goods Inwards, checking, sorting, entering onto system and putting away of products received
  • Reporting any discrepancies or problems to line manager/supervisor without delay
  • Excellent communications with all relevant departments within the organisation
  • General housekeeping to ensure that stock is stored in a safe and clean environment
  • Stock taking and regular cycle counting
  • Processing of returns from customers.
  • Participation in appropriate training as may be required from time to time
  • Experience in the operation of MHE / fork lifts (subject to licence/training status) - required
  • Keeping your designated area tidy and clean
Qualification & Experience

The principal skills, experience and personal characteristics, are:

  • Minimum 2 years Warehouse experience, i.e. goods in, put-away, pick, pack, dispatch & stock control
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and own initiative
Additional information
  • Working hours Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00 (some weekend or after-hours work may be required)
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse computer systems advantageous, especially SAP
