A charity organization is seeking volunteers to support individuals with learning disabilities at various events in Pelsall. Volunteers will engage in activities such as arts and crafts and social events, ensuring a fun and welcoming atmosphere. This role offers flexibility, training, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the community.
Midland Mencap is a charity which works and campaigns for accessible and inclusive services and a better quality of life for everyone with experience of learning disabilities and additional needs.
Volunteering with Midland Mencap is your opportunity to do something really positive, to have a great time, feel good and help us achieve our vision.
People with a learning disability or additional needs are often isolated and excluded from mainstream leisure and social activities. We believe that EVERYONE has the right to have fun and feel safe.
Our activity groups and social events give adults with additional needs the opportunity to enjoy wellbeing and leisure activities with their friends! We are looking for volunteers to support and join in with the facilitation of this offer across Walsall!
With your friendly personality and happy attitude, we need you to be a friendly face for our citizens, chatting and helping them to get involved and have a great time.
Our weekly social night gives our citizens the chance to meet their friends and enjoy a range of games and music, or pop into town for something to eat or a game of bowling.
Our monthly disco is filled with music, laughs and good times. Whether you want to dance along or you are just happy to chat, you can help someone to have a fun night.
Volunteers can choose from a range of opportunities depending on your availability!
As one of our valued volunteers, Midland Mencap will offer you:
