Working In Partnership. We value links with other organisations and have a good working relationship with Somerset County Council, which contributes towards the cost of running our Visiting service and other services. We have good links with other sight loss organisations including RNIB, Action for Blind People and Guide Dogs for the Blind. As an independent local charity we are members of Visionary — linking local sight loss charities. We started in 1919, and in 2019 we were very proud to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
