A community support organization in Rochford is seeking a Volunteer Community Shed Support Worker to lead activities that foster social connections and skill development for adults with learning disabilities and autism. The role involves practical engagement such as woodworking and metalworking, with a commitment of one day per week, approximately 10 am – 3 pm. Purposeof Role
Volunteeringwill take place at Roots & Shoots, our horticultural project in Rochford. Rootsand Shoots is home to our gardening project, which offers training andpractical experience to develop confidence, creativity and life skills foradults with learning disabilities and people with autism. This also gives theindividuals we work with the chance to make friends and have fun with eachother.
Thevolunteer will be required to lead activities at our new community shed, wheresocial connections and friendships can be made whilst sharing skills andknowledge over activities such as woodworking, metalworking, repairing andrestoring.
Volunteers are required 1 day per week between approximately 10am – 3pm Monday - Friday
