Overview

Abbeyfield Living Society relies on volunteers to help combat loneliness in older adults. Our mission continues thanks to volunteers who bring their unique skills and personalities to our houses and homes.

What support and training will I be given?

We provide a comprehensive induction program tailored to your specific volunteer role. This includes all the training and support you need to feel comfortable and empowered to make a difference from day one.

Will I be invited for an interview?

After you apply, we4ll invite you for an informal interview to get to know each other better. It4s a chance for you to learn about the role and for us to see if you4d be a great fit for the team.

Do I need to supply references or undergo a DBS check?

The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our top priority. Our volunteering roles require two references and an Enhanced DBS check. The cost of these will be met by Abbeyfield.

You may be asked to provide details regarding convictions; failure to disclose convictions may result in an offer of employment being revoked.
