Vehicle Technician – Lloyd Service Centre

We are looking for a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our Lloyd Service Centre based in Leyburn. This role offers a competitive salary of £33,000 – £49,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus uncapped bonuses, and an introductory bonus of up to £2,000 when you join (terms & conditions apply).

Work arrangements: Flexible hours tailored to suit you, including seasonal/term‑time schedules, evening shifts, and customised flexible hours.

Role Responsibilities
  • Complete work orders, documenting repairs, parts required and labour to be charged.
  • Test vehicles with measuring devices to provide accurate diagnostic reports to the Workshop Controller.
  • Interpret and use technical data and instructions from manufacturers.
  • Conduct routine service work on vehicles brought into the workshop.
  • Remove and install vehicle components following manufacturer methodology.
  • Carry out vehicle health checks and identify areas of concern.
  • Prepare new and approved used vehicles.
  • Perform technical repair work in accordance with established and documented procedures.
  • Report faults and notify the Service Manager/Workshop Controller of additional faults not covered in the repair scope and delays to completion.
  • Record details of work, hours worked and material usage.
  • Ensure vehicle safety standards have been complied with before return to customers.
  • Keep vehicles protected and clean during service and repair.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workshop at the end of each shift, ready for the day shift.
