Unit Catering Supervisor

Location: Astley Park Primary School, Chorley, Lancashire – Salary: £24,796‑£25,185 per annum – Hours: 26.25 hours per week (Term Time)

Join Lancashire County Council’s catering service as a lead kitchen professional. In this role you will work part‑time, creating fresh, high‑quality, balanced meals for school children each day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.
  • Direct and supervise other employees.
  • Order supplies and manage store deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records and stock control.
What We Are Looking For
  • Recognised catering qualification and/or food hygiene certificate.
  • Experience catering large numbers of students.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment.

Working Hours: 26.25 hours per week (5.25 hours per day), Monday – Friday, term time only, plus four cleaning days.
