This role is pivotal in driving standardisation and synergy across our treasury and technical accounting functions, helping us deliver on our promise to make health happen for our customers and communities.

How you’ll help us make health happen:
  • Lead and manage a team of three, fostering a supportive and high‑performing environment.
  • Report to the Head of Accounting Advisory, building strong relationships across the Treasury and technical accounting teams.
  • Oversee treasury operations, including exposure to derivatives and hedge accounting.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and business‑as‑usual (BAU) enhancements.
  • Balance month‑end responsibilities with strategic projects, ensuring both day‑to‑day and long‑term objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to standardise practices across multiple entities, promoting efficiency and consistency.
  • Engage with external auditors and stakeholders, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Embrace change and champion continuous improvement within the team and wider business.
What you’ll bring:
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Ideally hold further Treasury qualifications (e.g. ACT).
  • Experience in financial services or insurance, or within large, matrix companies with substantial treasury teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of treasury products, derivatives, and hedge accounting.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team—line management experience is preferable.
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to process improvement and automation.
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment.
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to get involved beyond the job description.
