ThePatient Transporter assumes total responsibility for patients' welfare to and from various areas of the hospital by either wheelchair or liter. Under supervision, the person in this role provides safe, competent, and efficient transportation of patients across all areas and departments including X-ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Electrocardiogram, Outpatient Lab, EEG/EMG, Stress Lab, Vascular Lab, Emergency Department, PACU, Outpatient Clinic, Admitting, Morgue, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, ICU, Cast Room, Physician’s Offices and all patient floors.
