Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Transport Support Operator to join our Lutterworth Transport team on a full time permanent basis!

This position is responsible for debriefing drivers on a daily basis alongside providing general administration support to the Transport team.

Salary:£26,265 per annum, plus £3,000 shift allowance.

Working hours:4 on 4 off, 6pm-6am.

Key Duties of aTransport Support Operator:
  • Correctly debriefing drivers.
  • Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
  • Scanning and storing PODs using thedocument management system.
  • Preparing drivers' wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
  • Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
  • Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
  • Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
  • Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
  • Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
  • Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.

  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
