Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated individual to maintain injection moulding tools. You will ensure high standards for equipment and work as part of a skilled team. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, strong skills in reading engineering drawings, and experience in manufacturing. Qualifications

  • Engineering background required, with or without formal qualifications.
  • Experience with injection moulding tools is preferred.
  • Strong manufacturing experience or support role in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Service injection moulding tools and associated tooling.
  • Use hand tools and equipment to maintain standards.
  • Perform tooling service checks and report deviations.
  • Maintain safety standards within the production environment.
  • Work with lifting equipment; training provided.

Job Purpose

You will work as part of a closely skilled team ensuring all injection tools are maintained to the highest standard. You will be a key team player but will also be able to work under your own initiative, ensuring the highest standards at all times. It is essential that the person has a strong engineering background and the ability to read drawings and use equipment such as hand tools and measuring equipment is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out the servicing work of injection moulding tools and other associated tooling.
  • Good bench working skills and the ability to use associated tools.
  • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings is essential.
  • Carry out in-house tooling service checks as specified; report results on the computer system provided and highlight any deviations from specification for correction.
  • Work on tools in the production environment as and when required as part of the tooling team.
  • Work at the highest safety standards at all times.
  • The ability to use lifting equipment such as cranes is advantageous but training will be given.
Qualifications & Experience
  • You will have an engineering background (qualifications or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in injection moulding tools would be advantageous.
  • You will have strong manufacturing experience or have worked in a support function supporting manufacturing.
