Job description

Overview

As Tightening Optimisation Engineer you will support Atlas Copco tooling and associated software/IT solutions for our customers. You will work across the Motor Vehicle Industry (MVI), General Industry (GI) and Service (SCE) teams and cover all ACTA tooling technologies, legacy, current and new model launches. This position works alongside software and technical support engineers and reports directly to the Software Service and Technical Support Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage and take responsibility of Atlas Copco’s ALTURE® data and consultation process.
• Escalate technical support cases to appropriate groups to enable fast and satisfactory resolution.
• Support internal teams and customers as technical support issues arise.
• Assist with and deliver competence development and technical product training within the business.
• Assist with and deliver customer technical training where required.
• Provide tightening service expertise to internal teams and external customers.
• Support with equipment reconfiguration and modification.
• Identify potential business opportunities through support requests and other means and escalate to the service sales team or others to take appropriate action.
• Testing and validation of technical resolutions both remotely and on customer sites.
• Work with Service and Product sales teams to support sustainable business growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Excellent product knowledge of Atlas Copco tooling solutions.
• Highly skilled and motivated individual capable of detailed technical analysis of installed solutions.
• Ability to assess the customer install base and highlight efficiencies and optimisation in production.
• Support legacy as well as current and future products with a strong understanding of the tightening process.
• Responsible for the delivery of Tightening Consultation directly with Atlas Copco key customers backed by ALTURE® data and autonomously deliver improvement proposals.
• Full UK driving licence.

Location

This is a UK based Hybrid role commutable to our Wolverhampton office.
