The pupils, staff and Governors of Penyrenglyn Community Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring Year 6 class teacher, who can join our effective school team for 2 terms. We want to employ an outstanding professional with a strong dedication to working as part of our team and promoting our school motto – ‘Inspiring Ambition’.

Penyrenglyn Community Primary School is a happy and successful Primary School with a caring ethos situated in the community of Treherbert. The school currently has 195 pupils on roll with 8 classes.

  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to work with the Penyrenglyn team;
  • Is able to meet the challenges of school life with enthusiasm, positivity and efficiency and will be fully supportive of and involved in the life of the school including extracurricular activities;
  • Can take on projects, drive them forward and see them through to a successful conclusion;
  • Will demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring the best outcomes for learners of all dispositions and backgrounds, ensuring equity for all.

Lesson observations and a formal interview will take place on 2nd and 5th December 2025, for the shortlisted candidates.
