About the role:

Join the team behind JCB LiveLink, a cloud-based platform supporting over 500,000 globally connected machines. As a Telematics Principal Engineer, you’ll play a key role in integrating telematics systems into vehicle platforms, ensuring they are compatible, functional, and future‑ready.


What does this role involve day to day?


  • Lead the integration of telematics systems into vehicle platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, software, and hardware engineers.

  • Define and document system requirements, specifications, and interfaces.

  • Conduct system‑level testing and validation to meet performance and safety standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues with relevant teams.


This will be suited to you if...


  • You have a strong foundation in electrical engineering, embedded systems, or CAN bus communication.

  • You’re experienced with telematics hardware, IoT devices, and vehicle electronics.

  • You enjoy working across disciplines to deliver seamless telematics solutions.

  • You’re passionate about using data and connectivity to enhance machine performance.

  • You’re familiar with communication protocols like MQTT, CAN, and Modbus.
