We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Like most Foodbanks, we rely on the power of Volunteering! It's the lifeblood of our charity, and we could not do what we do without it.
Over the years we have successfully partnered with various companies and corporations in Northern Ireland, based mainly in Belfast but some further afield. They give us a team of willing and passionate people who are released from their work for either a half or full day and join us at our warehouse operations. More and more organisations seem to be wanting to make a local impact, and are seeking opportunities to deploy their huge teams in some meaningful contexts in order to make a difference.
Right now, we are looking to fill around 5 slots between Jan and Feb 2026 to help us process the large volumes of food that were donated in November and December 2025. Could this be your organisation? If you'd like to find out more, click the link and if the dates suit, fill in the simple Google Form - link here: https://forms.gle/e7MG3yVadZFW2syk7 .
