About the role

The role will entail helping with shopping, attending appointments, enjoying social activities and going to work or college. Supporting with tasks at home including preparing drinks, meals, household chores and managing money. Personal care such as getting in and out of bed, dressing and undressing, washing and bathing, using the toilet and medication.

Positive risk management, understanding feelings and relating to others, staying safe and making decisions. Support delivered with dignity and respect. The opportunity to make new friends and meet new people.

As a Team Leader you will provide specialised support to individuals. Radis recognises each person as an individual and provides a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provides a consistent approach throughout their life.

You will be the first point of contact for the package, providing supervisions / meetings and support to the Support Workers. The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Support Workers ensuring personal care and all care tasks are client specific. You will also support with medication, personal care tasks and offer support within the community.

You will also be required to participate in the on‑call rota and provide cover for care and Radis’ housing‑related support duties when emergency cover is required.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism and mental health issues

Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in line with clients’ needs and expectations.
