A prominent educational institution in Rochester is seeking an enthusiastic English teacher to join their successful English Department. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering the English curriculum across Key Stage 3 and preparing students for GCSEs in Key Stage 4, along with A-Level English Literature. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic person to play an active role within our successful English Department to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be a passionate subject specialist with experience delivering the English curriculum across Key Stage 3 and preparing students for GCSE success in Key Stage 4. Experience in delivering A-Level English Literature is also essential for this role. We are a collaborative team and would warmly welcome applications from candidates seeking either a full-time or part-time position. The post-holder will also be expected to contribute to our co-curricular and extracurricular programme.
Rochester Independent College was founded as a sixth form college in 1984 and offers a fresh alternative to traditional independent education. There is no uniform and students and teachers are on first name terms. Today, Rochester Independent College (RIC) has 425 students from the age of 11 and offers places for boarders from the age of 13.
Classes are small. On average there are 8 students in each group. As well as a full secondary education from year 7 to sixth form, the College specialises in intensive one year A level and GCSE courses. We also have a good track record of excellent results on retake A level and GCSE courses for students aiming at competitive university courses including Medicine, Law, Veterinary Science and Dentistry.
