From June 2026, Gad’s Hill School requires a talented and passionate teacher of Design & Technology and Art to join our small creative arts faculty, teaching this subject to pupils in Key Stages 2 to 4. This is a maternity cover role, expected to last one year.
All pupils study both Design & Technology and Art to the end of Lower Fourth (Year 8). The DT curriculum includes Food & Nutrition teaching, delivered in a new kitchen/classroom. From Upper Fourth (Year 9) onwards, all three subjects are offered as separate GCSE options, following the AQA specification. The department currently comprises three teachers and a technician.
We are looking to appoint a part-time teacher interested in a 0.6FTE post, working on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 8.30am to 5pm.
The ability to deliver Food & Nutrition would be very desirable.
