Salary: £27,564.73 – £28,562.27 p.a. (39 hours per week) Pro rata

Location: Scottish Borders, Scotland | Closing date 31 December 2025

Overview

Join Autism Initiatives to support autistic individuals through Housing Support Services in Longnewton and Outreach Services across Galashiels, Bowden, Peebles, Hawick.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote positive health and well‑being of people supported, enabling meaningful independent lives.
  • Deliver support activities at Housing and Outreach sites.
  • Register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and an equivalent regulatory body.
  • Maintain accurate records and attend mandatory training.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience not essential – genuine passion for autistic people and positive attitude key.
  • Required: registration with PVG scheme and a Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or equivalent body.
  • Nationality: Must be legally permitted to work in the UK.

  • Competitive hourly rate £13.54–£14.03 (based on 39 hours); sleepover rate £12.60 per hour.
