Day Support Worker – Full Time, Permanent

Location: Kings Heath, West Midlands, England, United Kingdom.

Pay: £12.31 per hour (£2,500 per month). Hours: 40 per week. Shift schedule: 7:30 am‑3:00 pm, 2:30 pm‑10:00 pm, and 7:30 am‑10:00 pm.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a UK full driving licence.
  • Minimum 12 months experience with Autism and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Previous experience as a support worker, healthcare assistant, or domiciliary/home care professional.
  • Enhanced DBS check will be required.

Role Responsibilities (Support Worker Duties):

  • Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills.
  • Assisting people to achieve daily goals and activities such as arts, crafts, hobbies.
  • Assisting with the development of person‑centred plans for residents, including employment, education and other opportunities.
  • Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments.
  • Providing personal care where needed while always working towards greater independence.
  • Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development.

Service users are non‑verbal and require full support with day‑to‑day living skills and the promotion of independence.
