He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga | About the role

Each Tangata will have individual care requirements, and you will support them with all elements of daily living. No qualifications or prior experience are required, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure all Kaiāwhina | Support Workers are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need.

We’re currently hiring for the following workdays / hours:
  • Monday – Friday and must be able to work every second weekend.
  • Option of morning or afternoon shifts available: 7am – 12pm or 4pm – 8pm

  • Genuinely love working with people who need support and seeing them thrive
  • Be intuitive and responsive to people's feelings and needs

  • Full/restricted driver's license
Whakangungu l Training

Paid training! Our Kaiāwhina Skills Framework training takes place during your first two – four weeks of employment and is a mixture of practical training, online self-directed learning, and working with a buddy trainer.

  • Infection prevention control
  • Moving and Handling
  • Medication management
  • Practical tasks including personal cares, compression therapy, meal preparation etc.
  • Policies and procedures
