Job summary

A national social care charity in Scotland is seeking a Support Practitioner to help vulnerable individuals achieve their personal goals. Our Turning Point Scotland Services in South Ayrshireare looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland is a national social care charity providing services to people with addictions, learning disabilities, mental health issues, those in the criminal justice system and those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Supports are eithercommunity basedor within the persons own home. People are supported to become active members of their community through accessing local resources, building on skills,maintainingand developing friendships,employment opportunities and working towards agreed outcomes.

Each individualhas a committed staff team who work together to deliver a bespoke person-centred package to meet the individual’sneeds achieving agreed outcomes. Wefocus onenabling individuals tomeettheir aspirations,develop new skills, increase self-esteemand get the most out of life.

The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

No previous working experience is needed;full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.

As aSupport Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, emotional and wellbeing.
