An opportunity has arisen to join ISP in the Sub-Assemblies team to support ramp up of MBDA deliveries. The successful candidate will bring experience to ensure effective supplier performance, capability, and risk management. We work across MBDA UK programmes in a changing environment, managing and implementing both mature and new technologies.
What we can offer you
- Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
- Location: Stevenage (we may be able to offer a relocation package)
- Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload
- Security Clearance: British Citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship; BPSS checks after offer stage

Responsibilities
- Drive supplier performance improvement (delivery and quality) using appropriate tools and lean methodologies
- Carry out capacity audits to identify bottlenecks, yield, resources, and sub-tier mapping
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers and report performance to project leads; address supply chain risks to closure
- Assess supplier capability to meet MBDA delivery profiles for current and future state
- Create/validate process flows and lead time analyses
- Apply problem-solving techniques (e.g., DMAIC) to develop root-cause analyses and improvement plans
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate potential supply chain risks with improvement plans
- Conduct analysis and deliver executive summaries
- Support department supply chain excellence improvements as needed
Qualifications
- Ideally a degree-calibre supply chain professional with international experience in high-technology environments
- Experience in supply chain management / supplier development in aerospace, defence, or manufacturing, with exposure to machining and aerospace surface treatments
- Proven ability to improve supplier performance using lean/tools
- Experience in capacity audits and sub-tier mapping
- Experience managing a portfolio of suppliers and reporting performance; risk management exposure
- Ability to assess supplier capacity to meet MBDA delivery profiles
- Competent in process flows and lead time analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of DMAIC or equivalent
- Ability to escalate and mitigate supply chain risks with mitigation plans
- Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver executive summaries
- Willingness to contribute to department improvement initiatives
