EF Torquay Summer School is seeking an organised and proactive Academic Coordinator to join our team for summer 2026.

  • Full-time
  • 5 days a week
  • Fixed-term contract between June – August 2026

Responsibilities
  • Oversee class scheduling and student timetabling
  • Assist with placement testing and student intake processes
  • Monitor student attendance and ensure policy compliance
  • Support teachers with academic administration and classroom resources
  • Coordinate weekly academic reports and ensure students receive certificates
  • Assist students with academic queries and exam bookings
  • Maintain accurate academic records and data management
  • Cover classes for absent teachers
  • Work closely with the Academic Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
  • Available between June-August 2026
  • TEFL or CELTA (preferred) qualified
  • Sensitive to the needs of international students
  • Confident in teaching young learners (13-17)
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service
  • Has strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internal databases
  • All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
  • Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment
  • C2 level of English
