Job Title: Stock Controller
Location: Farnham (Office based)
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Hours: 5:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday

Our client is a leading air source heat pump installation company, committed to delivering high-quality renewable heating solutions across the region. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Stock Controller to join their operations team.

Role Overview

The Stock Controller will be responsible for managing stock movements, ensuring accurate inventory levels, supporting purchasing functions, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong numerical skills, organisational ability, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sign off and process incoming and outgoing orders
  • Coordinate the collection and delivery of materials and stock
  • Carry out stock purchasing and liaise with suppliers to ensure availability of materials
  • Manage and prepare stock for upcoming works and installations
  • Conduct regular stock checks and full stock takes
  • Weigh, label, and record stock items accurately
  • Maintain real-time stock data and ensure system accuracy
  • Identify stock discrepancies and investigate variances
  • Assist in improving stock control processes and efficiencies
Skills & Experience Required
  • Experience in stock control, warehouse, purchasing, or a similar operations role
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability; mathematically literate and confident working with figures
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers and internal teams
  • IT-literate with experience using stock control systems or MS Excel
  • Knowledge of the renewables, HVAC, or construction sector desirable but not essential
  • Full Driving License as this office is based in a rural area.
