1 Lowestoft Rd, Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth NR31 6QU, UK
Step Forward brings together partners and volunteers to promote resources that support people with financial wellbeing, job seeking or starting a business.
Step Forward is a new session at Downham Market Library to promote resources available to people whether they are thinking of a career change, applying for work, starting a business or want to learn more about financial support available to them.
Through our Business and Intellectual Property centres across Norfolk, we are already working with customers who have an interest in starting their own businesses. We are working with partners who offer guidance in careers, financial support, and advice services across Norfolk. The Step Forward sessions will provide a space for people to come and learn more about this range of resources and look at what their next step might be.
Volunteers will help with making people welcome, explaining what the sessions can offer and providing a hot drink. They will be able to help with signposting organisations that people could approach for further information. A range of partners will be on hand each week to help with more specialist advise and guidance.
Volunteers will need to be friendly and welcoming, have an interest in supporting others and be willing to learn more about the basic offers from partner organisations in order to help with signposting.
Sessions take place weekly, every Thursday from 11.00-1.00.
