About the Role
The Spa Attendant Supervisor will ensure the shift runs smoothly and efficiently while taking responsibility for the entire Spa & Leisure Attendant team and the Night Attendant team. The supervisor will lead by example, ensuring the team maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the spa and fitness centre.
Responsibilities
- Maintain day‑to‑day cleanliness and hygiene of all spa and fitness centre areas in accordance with health and safety legislation.
- Carry out checks to ensure fitness centre and wider spa areas are clean, well‑stocked and safe.
- Provide direct support to the Spa Management Team when required, including deputising in their absence and handling complaints.
- Interact and communicate effectively with members, team members, guests and the management team.
- Carry out all cleaning procedures according to the prescribed Kohler Waters Spa standards.
- Train spa attendants and night spa attendants; update operational as needed, acting as a role model for all levels of staff.
- Control stock levels, undertake stock takes, process orders and report replenishment needs to the Spa Manager.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly and coordinate maintenance follow‑up.
- Display integrity and professionalism in dealing with guests and outside contractors.
- Conduct monthly 1‑2‑1 sessions with all spa attendants and night spa attendants.
- Produce rota on a daily/monthly basis and control labour cost.
- Produce an up‑to‑date training plan for all attendant team members ensuring the training manual is always up to date.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience working in a customer services environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ease with people from all walks of life.
- Proactively support and delegate tasks to spa attendants.
- Role model: exhibit professionalism, no guest complaints, immaculate grooming, treatment area cleanliness, outstanding product knowledge and the ability to listen and improve performance.
- Flexible approach to the job and able to work a variety of hours including evenings and weekends.
- Computer literate.
- Ready to face challenges, learn fast and understand the spa structure.
Hours and Salary
Permanent contract, 40 hours per week, 5 days a week.
Salary: £29,182.40 per annum.
