Overview

Salary: £15.02 per hour (Inclusive of London weighting).

Hours: Zero hours, As Needed

We provide holistic support, including one to one key work, Support Planning, Life and Employability Skills Workshops and opportunities for personal development. We’re seeking to recruit Relief Support Workers to join the team in providing support to vulnerable people.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic support to vulnerable people, including one to one key work, Support Planning and participation in Life and Employability Skills Workshops and personal development opportunities.
• Join the team as a Relief Support Worker to support vulnerable people and contribute to preparing them for increased independence.
• Demonstrate a holistic approach in relating to vulnerable people and understand the pressures facing those experiencing homelessness.
• Engage with, relate to and motivate service users; use initiative and work flexibly in a demanding environment.
• Communicate effectively, both electronically and verbally, and accurately author, read and transfer information using appropriate platforms.
• Document information using word processing programmes (e.g., Word) as part of routine duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience working in supported housing with young people and/or extensive experience in supporting vulnerable and/or challenging young people.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate vulnerable people.
• Ability to work flexibly and independently in a demanding environment.
• Understanding of the pressures facing vulnerable people, particularly around homelessness.
