We are recruiting for the position of Sous Chef at Clitheroe Golf Club. The club prides itself on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and has a strong reputation for excellent food.

About us:

Clitheroe Golf Club was founded in 1891 in the picturesque surroundings of the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. The 18-hole facility welcomes over 700 members, visiting parties and external functions each year, where we provide an exceptional golfing and social experience.

We have a close-knit team throughout the venue and rarely have positions such as this become available. This is an ideal opportunity to get involved in the exclusive golf hospitality industry, which is very different to the hotel and restaurant industry, and offers a healthier work life balance.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have previous experience in a similar role
  • Understand and be fully knowledgeable re. HACCP, food safety, etc.
  • Always adhere to health and safety procedures
  • Support the Head Chef in the general running of the kitchen
  • Be proactive in inspiring for the very best at all times
  • Hold and undertake the same principles set out by the Head Chef and senior management, i.e. freshly prepared food using local, fresh ingredients.
