A healthcare provider in the UK seeks a passionate Sonographer to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate care. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Medical Ultrasound and is registered with the Health Care Professions Council. Responsibilities include managing clinical workloads and participating in quality reviews. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Sonographer with a desire to learn and develop both professionally and personally to benefit our patients, our service and our team.
As a skilled Sonographer you will provide a caring, compassionate approach within our high quality imaging team. You will need to be able to work independently. Ideally candidates should be qualified in general, obstetric & gynaecological ultrasound. CPD is well supported and the post holder will participate in regular ultrasound meetings and audit.
Contracted hours of work to be agreed between 8.00am to 8.00pm, 7 days a week, working across all NWAFT sites, including a CDC facility.
The post holder must have either The Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU) or equivalent CASE accredited PgC/PgD, registered with The Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and/or other professional body and be willing to partake in Continual Professional Development (CPD).
The responsibilities of this post will include being involved and assisting in the day-to-day organisation of the clinical workload within the ultrasound service across all sites and to partake in a continual review of services provided to ensure that it is as efficient as possible. They must be aware of the overall operational functioning of the department.
The post holder must have good communication skills and clinical knowledge and be able to interact well with both other members of staff & patients at all levels.
