What you will do

Our team currently has a vacancy for a Software Configurator (to be based in Featherstone - or Manchester). In this role you will configure Traffic Signal Controllers and related equipment for a variety of sites ranging from Standard to highly complex junctions.

You will also:

  • Create software to assist engineers and improve efficiencies across configuration and delivery processes.
  • Ensure all configurations comply with design specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
  • Support testing and commissioning teams with accurate and reliable configuration data.
  • Liaise with design engineers, project managers, and field engineers to resolve configuration issues.
  • Provide feedback on potential improvements to configuration processes and tools.
  • Assist in maintaining Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards within configuration activities.
  • Add and maintain configurations of A-level and multi-level complex sites.
What we are looking for
  • Certified coding competence (e.g., coding certification or equivalent).
  • Ability to configure, adapt, and troubleshoot controller software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of traffic signal principles and traffic management systems would be desired.
  • Competence with computers and configuration tools.
  • Full driving licence.
