The Social Media Volunteer (Casual/Intermittent) will support The James Foundation in raising awareness and providing a compassionate online presence for families affected by baby loss. This flexible, remote role involves creating, scheduling, and sharing sensitive social media content, monitoring engagement, helping amplify important campaigns or awareness initiatives, and assisting with updates to the charity’s website to ensure information is accurate, current, and presented in a sensitive and accessible way. Volunteers will work closely with the appropriate person to ensure all posts and updates reflect the charity’s empathetic and respectful tone, while adhering to confidentiality, privacy, and safeguarding guidelines. The role is ideal for individuals who are empathetic, organised, and comfortable engaging with sensitive topics, with basic digital skills and familiarity with platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Experience with design tools like Canva or basic website management is helpful but not essential. Volunteers can contribute as their schedule allows, particularly around awareness events or key campaigns, and will receive training, support, and guidance to carry out their role effectively.
