Join to apply for the Social Media Editor / Coordinator | XR Deep Water role at Extinction Rebellion.

XR Deep Water is a campaign & actions group, telling truths about climate change, the resulting flooding and drought. We raise awareness, reach out to the public to grow XR and form alliances with other groups outside of XR.

What difference will you make? By amplifying our key messages and demands you will raise awareness around extreme and changing weather patterns that we’re experiencing, in particular, flooding and sea level rise. You will be central to generating public demand for change.

What are we looking for?

Knowledge and experience of a range of social media platforms.

Enthusiasm, good communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills.

D/deaf or if you have barriers to hearing or vision, online meetings maybe a barrier however Closed Captions can be used and agendas, notes and descriptions can be given verbally.

What will you be doing?

Do you have a passion for social media and online action? Do you have 3+ years experience with social media and using the different platforms?

We are looking for keen social media helpers to create and amplify our messaging.

You’ll be supported by the team to share postings of social media content including:

• Delivering the comms campaigns across XR Deep Water's social media channels.
• Increasing the visibility of our campaigns by developing our social media reach, particularly in new audiences outside of the climate activism bubble.
• Responding to external events and trends on social media, in alignment with our campaigns, in order to amplify our reach.
• Tracking and analysing data from our social media channels to assess effectiveness and inform future work.
