Parkview is a large, detached house registered to provide support for nine men and women with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism, multiple disabilities and associated complex needs. The home is located opposite a large park in the middle of Tilehurst village, two miles from Reading town centre. The home has a dedicated day services building set in the large grounds, which provides areas for sensory stimulation and relaxation, arts and crafts activities, music therapy, and an education room with computer facilities. Current residents range from their mid-twenties to early fifties, with a mix of quiet and lively personalities. Experienced and passionate staff provide 24-hour care and support, assisted by Choice Care’s in-house Positive Behavioural Support Team. In addition, the home has its own transport for local travel and regular leisure, recreational and educational trips.
