Shunter Driver (CE) Knottingley AM/PM rotating shifts

Do you have a Class 1 licence? Are you an experienced Shunter? Are you looking for a full-time job? XPO is currently recruiting for a full time, permanent HGV Class 1 Shunter at our site in Knottingley.

You will be working 38 hours per week Monday – Friday on a rotation basis 06:30-14:30 Monday to Thursday and 05:45-13:45 on a Friday. Afternoon shift is 14:30-22.30 shift Monday – Thursday, Friday 13:45-20.30.

We’re looking to offer an hourly rate of £15.95 per hour, and overtime at £19.12 (paid for hours worked over 38 hours per week). In addition, £116.57 pw shift allowance will be paid on the afternoon shift only. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Duties will be to move trailers around the site ensuring they are in the right place at the right time, assist in load strapping and securing where necessary.
• Play a key role in our site team ensuing our operation runs as smoothly as possible; team player is a must.
• Ensure you are operating in line with health and safety standards and following site rules.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Experience in a similar driving/shunting role is highly desired.
• A Full UK driving licence (with C&E entitlement), held for a minimum of 12 months.
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR endorsements.
• Flexibility with working both days and afternoons to cover would be advantageous.
