THAT WORKS is a fast-growing web agency specialising in creating high-performing Shopify stores that generate 7- and 8-figure revenues annually. Our awesome development team is expanding, and we're seeking a talented Shopify Developer to help us craft exceptional e-commerce experiences.

This isn’t a “coast and collect” type of role. We're serious about clean code, pixel-perfect builds, and delivering slick experiences for clients who care deeply about their brands. Great developers are the backbone of our agency and we need A players who want to succeed with a fast growing agency. If you're someone who gets fired up about nailing the little details and shipping work you’re proud of, keep reading.

Here’s what we can offer:

Yearly all expenses paid team holiday, and frequent team get-togethers.

️ A caring, dedicated team who want you and our clients to win.

Monthly game show with cash prizes up for grabs!

Employee of the month awards, with 3 cash prizes up for grabs!

Your work will get seen by millions of people!

???? Weekly mentoring & experimentation sessions, to improve your skills.

Bi-Weekly training with subjects experts in all areas of E-commerce.

Fully remote, but only looking for UK based people please!

Competitive Salaries, Pension Contribution.

Real progression opportunities: We promote fast if you’re good. In fact 2 developers this year have already achieved promotions before reaching their 1 year That Works Anniversary!

What You’ll Need to Bring:

Serious Shopify Experience – You’ve built high-performing Shopify and Shopify Plus stores and know the ecosystem inside out.

Pixel precision – You take Figma files and turn them into flawless, responsive sites. If it’s off by a pixel, it bothers you.

Version control confidence – You’re comfortable with Git and working in collaborative workflows.

Problem-solving mindset – You love untangling complex issues and finding smart, scalable solutions.

Process Mindset - You follow processes to the T, and speak up if you think the processes can be improved.

Team player energy – You're clear, friendly, and proactive in your communication with designers, PMs, and QA.

Curiosity and craft – You keep up with the latest tech and trends, and you genuinely care about your work.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Developing, customising, and maintaining modern Shopify storefronts as part of a modern and efficient development team.

Building mobile-first responsive layouts that look great and perform well on all devices. Self-QA’ing your work to ensure it’s pixel perfect before sending over to our account managers for approval.

Peer-reviewing other developers code, to uphold standards as an agency and ensure that we’re all delivering the best quality work we can.

Collaborating with designers to help them understand what is and isn’t possible within allocated budgets to make sure scope doesn’t creep when we enter development.

Optimising for performance, accessibility, and best practices. By the way, the secret password for the job application is: QA

Troubleshooting technical challenges (and spotting them before anyone else does). Keeping stakeholders informed on how and why these issues may affect delivery timelines.

Providing clear technical guidance internally and occasionally to clients.

A proven track record as a Shopify developer — show us what you’ve built.

Strong self-QA instincts — you test your own work thoroughly and take pride in delivering it right the first time.

In-depth understanding of Shopify’s capabilities, limitations, and how to get the most out of Liquid.

Fluent English and excellent communication.

Based in the UK (must-have for this role).
