Shop / Café Supervisor – Richmond Village Letcombe Regis

Location: Richmond Village Letcombe Regis, South Street, Oxfordshire, OX12 9RG

Employment type: Permanent, 32 hours per week

Shift pattern: 4 days per week, 8‑hour shifts, rotating days

Pay: £12.40 per hour

Job Description

Being proactive and customer‑focused, the Shop/Café Supervisor will oversee daily operations, lead a team, and ensure exceptional service standards. Ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities and Qualities
  • Supervise day‑to‑day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimise waste.
  • Oversee cash handling, reconcile daily takings, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Support promotional activities and contribute to sales growth.
  • Barista training or experience in coffee preparation.
  • Food Safety Level 2 certification.
