We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior SAP Data Engineer to join us and shape the future of Nomad foods Data. As a Senior SAP Data Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing, building and optimising SAP Data Pipelines and architecture to support strategic initiatives across the business. Reporting into the Head of Reporting & Data Engineering, you will be focused on the data engineering part to manage our data across our SAP estate and non-SAP currently processed in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to enable accurate and timely reporting and insight across Nomad Foods

About the role:

You will lead on the gathering of requirements for any additions or changes needed to data requirements ensuring that the solution fits in with the agreed way the Central Data Team To deliver certain projects and pieces of work, this role is required to build effective relationships with key contacts in Nomad Foods and 3rd parties so that the team can be augmented to ensure smooth delivery. Some of the key responsibilities and accountabilities can be find below

• Working in the team to ensure the right solution is in place using the technology the right way including SAP Datasphere, SAP BW, and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Partnering with the IT Service Partner to develop an Enterprise Data Platform to provide a single version of truth and ensuring minimal movement of data.
• Ensuring best data sources (internal & external) are used along with having the most efficient data pipelines in place.
• Designing data models that support reporting and analytical needs.
• Identifying any data sources that could be useful when doing reporting and insight.
• Working closely with the Revenue Growth Management Team and Commercial Insight Team and any other areas doing reporting and insight.
• Leading the team in the absence of the Head of Reporting & Data Engineering.

About you:

We are looking for someone who have strong hands-on skills and experience in BW4HANA, to ensure we can develop business insights using this technology to its limits. You would ideally have had hands-on experience of SAP Datasphere, now included in SAPs Business Data Cloud (BDC) suite. You will need to learn and understand GCP and the environment we have in place so that we are getting the best out of SAP and GCP working together. Any experience of data warehousing using any flavour of SQL or Databricks would be an advantage. Some of the must have requirement are:

• Strong experience of SAP BW4HANA for full stack data modelling.
• Any experience of Datasphere or BDC would be desirable.
