A leading educational institution in the UK is seeking a Senior Research Infrastructure Engineer to develop and manage high-performance computing and data platforms. The Research Infrastructure team is a core part of the University’s Advanced Research Computing (ARC) group and plays a vital role in supporting the University’s digital research mission. We design, build, and support the advanced computing platforms that power research in High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Bioinformatics, and Data Science. Backed by a £27M University investment in advanced computing, the team is expanding to help deliver this ambitious programme.
We’re looking for a Senior Research Infrastructure Engineer to help develop and manage the high-performance computing and data platforms that underpin world-class research at Leeds. You’ll work across a variety of infrastructure and platform projects, helping to maintain and improve the systems that researchers depend on every day.
You’ll work as part of a collaborative team to deploy, operate, and support large-scale computational environments, contribute to automation and system efficiency, and engage directly with research teams to meet their technical needs. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their expertise in research computing and infrastructure engineering.
