Job Description We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. The innovation team’s focus at Experian is to identify, explore and validate white‑space growth opportunities for future products and services. Unlike our primary product teams, this group will work on early‑stage concepts, investigating new verticals, testing new ideas, and shaping potential directions for long‑term diversification. Reporting into the Lead Product Designer you’ll be part of a diverse Product Design Team, while working daily with a small squad consisting of a Product Manager and a Researcher. You will need to be comfortable across the full end‑to‑end of the design process.

Responsibilities
  • You will partner with user research to uncover customer needs, test assumptions, and translate insights into relevant concepts. Navigate change, shaping problems, defining priorities, and structuring your own work.
  • Create prototypes at different levels of fidelity to explore and share ideas quickly.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and internal stakeholders to co‑create solutions and validate opportunities.
  • Design and facilitate workshops to align stakeholders, produce ideas, and lead decisions.
  • Run lean experiments to test desirability, feasibility, and viability, measuring outcomes to gauge success and market potential.
  • Apply a product and business lens to your design decisions, ensuring concepts are both user‑centered and commercially viable.
  • Balance short‑term experiments with awareness of how potential innovations could integrate with or improve existing products.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working in Product or UX Design Roles.
  • Experience designing in early‑stage or innovation contexts, including product discovery, incubation, or venture‑style work.
  • A strong understanding of business metrics, commercial viability, and how design decisions impact our results.
  • A portfolio showcasing your strategic approach and process, not just the final solution. Some case‑study examples include: an understanding of the problem space, a design approach with hypotheses and clear measures of success on top of the final execution.
  • Experience in prototyping and experimentation and have taken products from 0‑1; you’re comfortable testing ideas at different levels of fidelity and using failure as a learning tool, motivated by a need to validate assumptions through data.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, co‑creation sessions or collaborative design activities.
  • Tailor your communication style to lead projects, mentor others, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Previous experience in Fintech or other regulated industry desirable.
Benefits
  • Hybrid working – 2 days a week in the office
  • Great compensation package and discretionary bonus
  • Core benefits include pension, Bupa healthcare, sharesave scheme and more
  • 25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days. You can purchase additional annual leave.

Grade: D/EB8
