A leading consulting firm in the UK is seeking a skilled underwriter to lead multi-national programmes. This role involves designing strategies and developing relationships to turn domestic operations into international programmes. Ideal candidates will have expertise in property or casualty underwriting, and experience in relationship management. The position offers a salary up to £120k plus a performance bonus, along with a flexible benefits package.
Some insurers talk about 'international capability.' This one's actually putting it to work - for UK-based clients turning over up to £250m, with operations scattered across the globe. They've already got the domestic relationships. What they need now is someone who can turn those into proper multi-national programmes - writing business, executing placements, and shaping deals that make commercial sense on both sides of the border. This isn't a box-ticking underwriting role. You'll hold the pen, run the design, and lead the strategy - not just process what's handed to you. You'll work with brokers who value technical substance and clients who expect intelligent, joined-up solutions. You'll need to be comfortable blending the analytical with the entrepreneurial - someone who can pick apart the mechanics of global deals and smoothly develop relations within the group and across the broker space. You'll need strong grounding in property & casualty, a solid grasp of how international programmes blend together, and the appetite to help build something new - not just maintain what's already there. But if you are firmly in either the Property or Casualty camp, you'll still be ideal for this one given the depth of technical skill already in the team. In return? A serious platform, plenty of autonomy, a flexible benefits package, and a salary up to £120k plus performance bonus. If you want to be part of a team that's actually growing its multi-national proposition - not just talking about one - let's talk.
