Job summary

A leading nuclear sector organization in the United Kingdom is looking for a Senior Technical Support Officer. This role involves maintaining Nuclear Material Accountancy and Control procedures and ensuring successful project delivery at laboratories. The successful applicant will lead regulatory inspections, manage teams, and be responsible for maintaining effective NMACS systems. Candidates must have strong IT and communication skills, a record of management, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven record of establishing, managing and maintaining policy and procedure.
• Capable of handling manual and computer data accurately.
• Able to lead interaction with the Office for Nuclear Regulation.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to obtain DV level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert in Nuclear Material Accountancy.
• Lead delivery, maintenance, and development of NMACS arrangements.
• Monitor NMACS performance and continuously improve systems.
• Coach and mentor personnel in NMACS procedures.
• Liaise with project teams and other functions regarding NMACS.
