Job description

Flagstone are the largest independent mortgage brokers in Essex, providing independent mortgage and protection advice. We work closely with a number of estate agents and other introducers, such as builders, accountants and solicitors, offering independent mortgage and protection advice. As a large introducer, we benefit from a number of exclusive mortgage rates not available to the general public.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a senior mortgage and protection paraplanner to join our busy mortgage team.To assist advisers in the processing and administration of applications with speed and accuracy. To assist the compliance manager with file reviews. Give an excellent level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Communicate & liaise verbally and in writing with Advisers/customers/product providers and relevant staff.
  • Interpret instructions and issues arising and implement actions
  • Accurate submission of mortgage applications and ensuring initial lender requirements are met
  • Updating CRM system with clients’ personal information & requirements, ensuring the correct product/s are selected and ensuring client documents are clearly labelled and uploaded to the system in a timely manner
  • Start worklist for submitted products and adding and relevant notes which will assist MSC
  • Reviewing obtained customer documentation to check that the Flagstone minimum requirements have been met
  • Conduct file reviews to a high standard and provide management information on results and outstanding actions
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
