DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support and empower millions of people. The scale of what we do is extraordinary and our purpose is unique. We'd love you to join us.

Skills, knowledge and experience required
  • Significant experience designing end-to-end services that solve complex problems and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Expertise in creating evidence-based services that meet user needs, colleague needs, and organisational objectives.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels, advocating for user-centricity and service design best practice.

You and your role

As Lead IT Service Manager you will be at the forefront of leading the core Assistive Technology & Projects (AT&P) service in DWP. This role has a specific focus in accessibility software, hardware, security, and new products to enhance workplace or service centre capabilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery and continuous improvement of these core services, while leading a team and providing strategic leadership and coaching.

This is a leadership role where you will act as an escalation point for critical issues, be responsible for driving service excellence across your portfolio, and contribute to defining and designing assistive technology support models.

At DWP Digital you will shape services that matter, impacting thousands of colleagues and contributing to projects that define the future of enterprise technology. Your ideas will drive real change in a collaborative and supportive environment.
