Description

Are you ready to take your insurance career to the next level? PoloWorks is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Technician to join our Underwriting Services (UWS) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process London Market Insurance underwriting data following established procedural guides.
  • Analyse technical data and calculate transactions, including limits, premiums, and deductions.
  • Manage internal and external queries to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data processing.
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to team members.
  • Organise documentation to facilitate smooth data processing.
  • Contribute to internal and external (client) reporting.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Relevant experience within the insurance sector
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team.
  • Capability to provide training, support, and guidance to colleagues.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance market, structure, practices, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with services provided by PCIS and specifically UWIS.
  • Experience with direct and reinsurance placements.
  • Ability to interpret insurance documentation and data accurately.
  • Knowledge of relevant classes of business and the ability to engage in meaningful discussions with client operations and underwriting teams.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English.
  • Willingness to pursue relevant CII qualifications.
