Job summary

A local government authority in Cardiff is seeking a committed individual to join their West Hub team. The successful applicant will provide excellent customer service and assist in coordinating professional face-to-face services. Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer service skills to join our West Hub team.

The successful applicant will assist in coordinating a professional face-to-face service, including responsibilities for building management.

About the job

Services provided include advice on Housing & Benefits, Library provision, digital & financial inclusion along with partnership working and arranging tailored community events.

Weekend and evening working will be required on a rota basis and location of work may vary.

What We Are Looking For From You

You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, work well in a team and have a flexible approach.

You will have experience of providing advice on an array of council services including Waste management, Library provisionilised & arranging Community events. You will have knowledge on Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction scheme, Housing including the Welfare Reform Act and the options available to help those affected.

You will work closely with partner organisations and advice agencies to ensure a fully accessible co-ordinated service is provided. Ideally, you will have experience of mentoring & coaching staff and resolving more complex enquiries and disputes in a positive and constructive manner.

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
