Job summary

A leading audio product manufacturer in Sea, UK, is looking for a Coordinator to conduct functional testing of board level audio products. Responsibilities include fault finding down to component level, reworking PCBs, and providing technical support to the production team. Permanent role, Southend-on-Sea , Salary £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience
Responsibilities
  • Functional Testing of board level audio products; ensure the equipment is properly tested, calibrated, and certified according to corresponding test procedures.
  • Fault find electronics down to the component level to determine cause and remedy faults; repair final assemblies and sub-assemblies as required.
  • Rework boards to a high standard of accuracy, including single sided and PTH multi‑layer PCBs with through‑hole and surface‑mount components.
  • Provide technical support and training to the electronics test and production team when necessary.
  • Produce and maintain test procedures in conjunction with Design.
  • Read and understand circuit schematics, and comprehend the functionality of analogue and digital circuits of moderate complexity.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure jobs are carried out promptly.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and report any safety issues.
  • Maintain tools in good usable condition; report faulty tools and jigs to the relevant person.
  • Keep the department clean and tidy.
  • Work with the Department Supervisor to give accurate technical feedback to the PCB/Component Team for every batch of PCB assemblies from sub‑contract lines; aim for over 90% clean, fault‑free assemblies.
