Senior Electrical Technician

About The Role

Staffpower Group are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join our well‑established client in Kirkbymoorside to assemble, wire, and test electronic and electrical systems to ISO 9001 standards. The successful candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with wiring harnesses, PCBs, SMT components, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and wire electrical and electronic subassemblies from drawings or schematics.
  • Perform soldering, fault finding, and repairs to PCB component level.
  • Carry out heavy‑duty cable wiring, deck cable assembly, and control system outfitting.
  • Troubleshoot and test assemblies and perform computer‑controlled operations.
  • Complete all required documentation and follow safety and quality standards.
Skills And Experience
  • Proven experience in electrical/electronic assembly and testing.
  • Knowledge of low‑ and high‑voltage systems, control/data systems, and fibre optic terminations.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and IEEE 18th Edition accreditation (desirable).
